Submit site or blog to altavista search engine
Altavista (altavista.com) is another search engine that has big user traffic. Altavista using database from Open Directory, therefore we need to submit to Open Directory (example www.dmoz.org, yahoo). Here are the steps for submiting to yahoo directory.
Step 1 > go to altavista.com. Find Submit a Site link. click it
Step 2 > on open page, there will three choices. Search Submit and Express Inclusion is paided service. For standard facility, we can use another option Basic Submit
Step 3 > input your site url on Submit a Website or Webpage
Step 4 > finish
so acctually it is a same way as submit to Yahoo, because altavista using same directory as Yahoo. There are many search engine now using Yahoo Directory such as altavista, inktomi, alltheweb
