No New Post No Good Ranking
Happy New year 2009 to all Busby SEO Test participant. I wish you more luck and success on next year. This seo contest will finished about 3 weeks and we will know the winner soon. After 3 months we cannot said that begginer can not win the contest. They have break that opinion, i see many begginer, at least from their statement, has gain good ranking on top ten search result page.
But it is not proved by me because until now my position is droped into 87. It is because i never doing seo anymore for this contest. No New Post about Busby SEO Test and the result is no good ranking for me. I releasize that my seo knowledge is still a little. I promise to myself to learn more about seo by reading seo article and involving in seo forum.
That is one of my resolution for this year. I want to improve my seo skill to help my online business. More learning also relizing me that many thing that i need to learn. It is no time to stop learning. We must learning on whole of our life. So don’t worry if you didn’t get good position on this contest. By the time you are learning seo you will get success in future.
update third month of December 2008
The contest become closer now to end of date. There are about 1 and a half month to finish this Busby SEO Test contest. Within outgoing month i believe many participant has new knowledge of how to optimize your web pages to be ranking well on Search Engine Result Page. From novice to professional seo expert has shown on some participant like carissaputri done.
I want to report to you about position update on third month of December 2008. For top ten position there are no big changes. First until third position still hold by pinayspeak, imfreakz, and dstudiobali. Other top ten participant also no changes. It seem they are too strong to defeated. My position is on 37 as falling again after reach 24 rank on google.
update first week of december 2008
Last week we have pass a strong competition among top ten position of Busby SEO Test contest. There are many new player on top ten and have been kick out another player that doing seo well on last month and also from the beginning of the contest. I see dstudiobali is now drop into 13 position. Although i know this guy is less focus now on competition because he said tired with online activity, so he much more involve with real life.
Three top position is still hold by the master such as pinayspeak, imfreakz, and entigech. I notice some participant that increase their rank drastically. There are umpcinfo, baliinc, carissaputri. I try to find out how this 3 participant can boost their rank drastically. One participant, baliinc even don’t have rich content. So i though this site has many quality backlink.
update second month november 2008
a month has been passed and the Busby SEO Test contest still on about 2 months. Every contestant has doing seo very well, some of them at top of hundreds of seo result. With two month time left to win this contest, i hope the competition is more real and attractive so we can learn about seo technique or seo implementation.
The highest ranking that i ever reach is rank 28th. But after that my ranking is drop drastically, i still did not find any real reason for that, but i have try to build link into this page and good thing is now back to top fifty. Even it is not quit good but i think i am doing correct thing last week. So i will try to improve my link building skill for this entrance pages.
Google SearchWIKI experiment
Google just experiment with social community search engine. May be google want to compete with Microsoft search engine feature named U Rank that make live search engine has social networking feature such as vote for a search result and comment for a search result. Google doing experiment on Search WIKI, it is a new feature that allowing searcher to vote and comment on a site on search result page.
SearchWIKI allowing searcher to input a comment on a site on SERP and also voting on it. The result is the site that has more vote will appear more higher on ranking. So you can decide which site is actually more important for you. More important mean it will appear more higher on your search result. Ya, this ranking is only valid on search result page.
Update position on 22 November 2008
This week is happy and unhappy week for me. I am happy because this site get the highest position that i ever get for this contest. The highest rank is 28 position that can hold about 2 days successfully. But after that the position is fall drastically and i did not find that reason why.
I am not a kind of person that give up when encountering a problem. I must find the problem and try to solve it. So i try to searching about why my Busby SEO Test position drop drastically. One thing that i notice about this week is the number of test page that indexed by google is decreased. I don’t know why but it seem google has a rule that if a competition on a keyword is not normal, they will stop indexing new page that discuss about that keyword.
Busby SEO Test ranking drop SERP drastically
This is an old question about my ranking that drop drastically on SERP or search engine result page. It also related to this question Why does my Busby SEO Test position ranking well on sunday?. Yesterday my ranking was in 28 position of Busby SEO Test keywords. When i check in this morning the rank is drop significantly into 62. This is a big big drop, and this is happen also on my other entrance sites. So i think my method is not be able to get a stable position in search result.
Are you Indonesian participants?
I just reading a list on official forum of Busby SEO Test contest. And i found one thread that discuss about country participant. I am interesting with Indonesian participants list. So i would like to make a list of Indonesian participant who join this contest.
My purpose is to make seo more popular among Indonesian people so they understand we can compete with people around the world. They also have to be proud because of many Indonesian doing seo well. In fact first Busby Web Solutions contest is win by Indonesian. And current position also hold by Indonesian and some people are on top ten.
Update position on 16 November 2008
A week has passed again. But my Busby SEO Test position is still out from top ten. I know i didn’t doing much thing last week. Just a couple of articles and fixing navigation structure on two of my entrance sites. I need to thinking other strategy to increase my position on this contest.
So maybe i would focus more on one sites first, and the other sites is for supporting only now and maybe not much change on its. As because i think it is enough for on page optimization. So for this two other sites i will try to build link to its.
About domain and sub domain contest rules
I am sorry to hear chickenseoup saying farewell to Busby SEO Test Contest. the problem is that the contest judge has confirm that his entrance page cannot win the contest because his domain name contain contest keywords. Me or maybe some of you also think that we are not allowed to use domain that contain whole Busby SEO Test keywords. But actually we cannot use all words in all ways on domain or sub domain name. So because chickenseoup domain contain words SEO, then this domain is not eligible to follow the contest.
