how to check measurement of competition?
This article is talk about how to check measurement of competition. The measurement that i want to talk is about how hard this Busby SEO Test competition. In seo that mean how much effort to get visible on first page of Busby SEO Test keywords. Sometime it is easy to rank as number one or just appear on first and second page of search result page. But for some keywords it is hard to provide a good content, here we need another methods to compete with other competitor.
But i do not want to talk about how to beat your competitor using killer method. This article is about checking a competition to get an overview how big is the competition. This measurement is just my research when i was compete on a keywords.
I am using some parameter or measurement to check if we are faced with big competitor for a keywords. So here we go, you can check the competition by seeing this parameters to get overview about what has going on and how big is it.
- Number of indirect competitor : to check you can simple search for a keyword that you want to check and the parameter is number of pages that has been indexed by google or search engine. For example for “Busby SEO Test” keywords, there are about 465.000 pages has content keywords.
- Number of direct competitor : you can use allintitle or allinanchor command. It will give you a competitor that really compete in this keywords because they put that keyword on their title and anchor text. for allintitle we have 23.300 pages and allinachor is 372.000.
- Social bookmark ranking : you can check if any social bookmarking link is appear on top of ten or top of twenty. If it is not then top competitor is doing well on SEO. And it sign we need extra action to beat them. This thing is come from the fact that social bookmarking link is easy to get high rangking at the beginning.
- Top competitor content : look your top ten competitor, if they don’t have rich content but they can ranking well that means they building or buy link for their sites. And you need extra action either to write rich and good navigation sites or link building campaign.
Another parameter that important and must see is if there are many Indonesian sites is on top of ten, if there is then it means the competition is very hard because Indonesian is hard seo workers. hehe just kidding!
So if we found number of indirect and direct competitor nearly same that means that keyword is hard and has big competition on it. I am not talking about keyword popularity because we cannot use it for parameter. It is more about how much people is searching about that keywords but it doesn’t tell you about how your competitor doing well on seo.
Do you fill Busby SEO Test competition is hard to beat? i don’t think so. You still have a chance to win this contest because i see i got big move every week by doing seo naturally. I was starting optimize my site about a month ago, and now my ranking is 29. I optimize 3 sites and maybe i am lucky i got it all on top one hundreds. I am not a seo experts, but i know by doing naturally you will win the competition. Just you need to understand that the seo key is patient. You will understand by time you on top ten ranking. So do not give up now.
