SEO and SEM
I want to write an article about difference between SEO and SEM, because it is importan for us that want to involve in Busby SEO Test internet marketing. This two thing has big different. SEO is stand for Search Engine Optimization and SEM is Search Engine Marketing. So we have word optimization for seo and marketing for sem.
SEO is a method to optimize your page ( on site and off site page ) to make it better rank on organic search engine result page (SERP) and we know that organic SERP is free for all of us. On another side we have SEM that a way to promote and increase visibility in search engine. So SEO is a part of SEM because it is increase the visibility of our Busby SEO Test site.
Beside doing SEO for incresing visibility, we also can buy our ranking using search engine paid listing, for example Google Adwords. Our site then visible on their paid listing search result ( on right side of organic SERP ). Google also put our site link on their partner that join Google Adsense Programs.
So now we know that SEM is a way of marketing online. Without marketing campaign or promotion, our website has less visibility on internet. There are million of website is being compete each other. If we dont have marketing strategy we will loss on this market.
So it is a good idea to learn about SEM, especially search engine optimization because it can help you to understanding how people or internet marketer promote a website in internet. SEO has some benefit such as
- a fair competition with other websites.
- algorithm is always changes and nobody know the exact parameter, so everybody have same chance to rank well on SERP.
- and it is free to get listing on organic SERP.
